History and Art

The Museum in Bellpark, a forum for history, photography and art, is home to an eclectic gathering of themes. Where else would you find exhibitions featuring motorways, clubs, refuges and barracks, bunkers and mopeds?

Local history discoveries are juxtaposed with present-day topics to produce surprising results. A key focus of the museum is photography. Temporary exhibitions showing current trends in Swiss art are also part of the museum’s concept. The Museum in Bellpark is assembling an archive on local history themes and collecting contemporary Swiss drawings.

Situated in the former Villa Florida, which was built in 1911 by the well-known hotel architect, Emil Vogt (1863–1936), the premises can be hired for private functions.
