Carnival
For many Lucerners Carnival is the most beautiful time of the year. Each time, it starts on Fat Thursday with the big bang. Three big processions are among the highlights of Lucerne Carnival.

The Wooden Masks of Kriens
Carnival in Lucerne
While Carnival in Lucerne is dominated by Guggen musicians, the neighbouring borough of Kriens is still more the home of the traditional "Fasnacht".
