Lucerne's cinema with culture: the limelight cinema probably has the most distinct history of all of Lucerne's cinemas.
It is well known for its long tradition of screening cultural studio films and its traditional balcony, which used to be a standard feature in cinemas. The limelight is located near the Löwencenter, Lake Lucerne and the Hertensteinstrasse - a popular street for shopping in the Old Town.
