Lucerne - Gisikon - Meierskappel

First ascending, then level road, always straight ahead along the incline, beautiful view of the Reuss and Lake of Zug - right turn into main road to Meierskappel - straight on through village, direction Udligenswil - after Meierskappel, follow main road for 1.5 km to further ascending right-hand bend (in Oberbuonas) - then left, straight on, natural road - along the flank over two brooks to small group of buildings at Lippertschwil - left turn to compost plant - after compost depot turn right , past «No Cars/Motorcyles» sign, and up the hill direction Haltikon - 1 km further on after short descent, twice branch left onto a small road leading to the wooded area - at first a climb through the wood, then levelling out, straight on over golf course Küssnacht and past the pond to the main road - follow main road left for 50 m, then turn right again at parking lot and through terrain cutting steep uphill - straight on to view-point Allmig - continue on narrow road with only slight gradients, for 2 km - turn right directionWaldstätterweg - after about 100 m, turn left uphill - after 150 m again left - first through the wood then across country, easy downhill - at crossing (bus terminal Tschädigen) straight ahead on broad road in direc tion Meggen railway station - follow this downhill for about 500 m - after bus stop «Obermattstrasse », go right past nursery into narrow absolutely level Spissenstrasse to the right along - past farmhouses - short steep downhill section - turn right into Kreuzbuchstrasse - continue on this, first 3.5 km flat, then downhill - round circle on the left, under railway bridge - then take the cycle lane to the right along the railway - Haldenstrasse - Schweizerhofquai - SBB railway station.

Moderately demanding, longer bicycle tour, mostly over field paths and secondary roads without heavy traffic; natural pathways in some parts; at first, an attractive ride along the riverside, the nearby motorway only slightly disturbing; the middle section has several gradients but delightful landscape scenery as a compensation; the last part offers beautiful views of the lake and mountains; restaurants in Gisikon, Honau, Meierskappel and Schönau.
