Canoeing

Surrounded by the steep mountains in the canton of Uri, you can canoe through the valley and its wealth of history. Learn more about William Tell, General Suworow’s troops and a pact that was made with the devil in this valley, whose signature feature is the transit route over the Gotthard. Although the shores of the Reuss River are reinforced throughout the entire stretch, the wide riverbed also meanders between gravel-sandbars. This river route is only moderately difficult.
