Cheese slices Swiss
À la cheesemaker
A typical Swiss alpine meal, which you shouldn't miss.
Ingredients
2 slices of rye bread
approx. 100 ml white wine
1 clove of garlic, crushed
100 g fresh Fondue mixture or coarsely grated alpine cheese from the region
paprika powder and/or little coarsely ground pepper
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 230 °C.
2. Lay out bread slices onto a backing tray, sprinkle the bread with white wine, spread with pressed garlic, place Fondue mixture on top, season with paprika and/or pepper.
3. Slide the tray into the middle of the oven, brown the cheese slices until the cheese is melted, ca. 8 minutes.
Hint
Serve with salad and a glass of white or red wine. A simple, filling dish, the shepherd way.
