Risletenschlucht
Beckenried
Between Beckenried and Treib lies the lesser known Risletenschlucht. The force of the water can be seen on the polished rock and the swirl holes in the shape of snail shells in the stone.
A walk through the Risletenschlucht is exciting. The Risletenschlucht can be accessed all year round from Beckenried provided there is no snow.
From Beckenried to Treib, you wander through the forest and under cliffs and again and again catch beautiful unexpected views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The way along the ravine (Schlucht) requires some stamina as it crosses a height of around 300 metres in a short distance - but afterwards the walk is very comfortable with slight uphills and downhills. The walk is even recommended in less than perfect weather. It is particularly interesting if it has rained the day before as then a lot of water goes down the ravine.
