Red palm trees in a blue desert - Annemarie depicts fictional worlds that exist only in her imagination. Impulse Gallery presents the first solo exhibition of Annemarie Terlage in Switzerland.
Annemarie Terlage (b. 1967 in the Netherlands) composes lush landscapes and architectural settings through her unique experimental approach of mixing epoxy and acrylic paint on canvas. Dreams, old memories and visions of an ideal world determine the subjects of the new series of monumental paintings that Terlage created specially for this exhibition. Aspirational titles like Hazey Haven, Summer of 69 and Melancholic Hill go along with reminiscent images of colorful architectural constructions surrounded by extravagant gardens and beautifully illuminated pools.
One dream follows the next as the viewer is invited to embark on a journey of wonder - on a journey through the Memories of Landscapes by Annemarie Terlage.
