Folk play in four acts by Lukas Bühler | Dialect version and direction: Daniel Heinzer
The miller Heiri Moser has been running the old family business for over thirty years. Unfortunately the mill is going downhill and the old master is plagued by financial hardship. Again and again he thinks back to the happy days and to his lost brother, with whom he would have wanted to continue the parental mill. The dominant woman Geissberger knows that the beautiful Mühligrund would also be interesting for other buildings. Together with her scatterbrained secretary she tries to buy the mill from Heiri. But because of the family tradition he doesn't want to sell. So the ominous woman has to resort to further means to get to the idyllic place. After all, she wants to open a golf course here under false pretences. Further on there is the American family from Texas. They stay a few days to visit and do not suspect anything of the acute condition of the mill for the time being. The housekeeper Trudi and the miller's journeyman Bänz also live and work at the mill. With their funny way they help to maintain the serenity on the "Mühligrund". What now goes on with the old, solid mill? Will Heiri see his missing brother again? And who can finally ensure a good and contented end?
