Arrival: The Ursern Valley is very centrally located and ideal for visitors coming from any direction. It takes from 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Andermatt from Zurich or Lugano. If you are coming by car, it is about 10 minutes’ drive to Andermatt after you exit the motorway at Göschenen. Visitors traveling by train take the hourly-running Gotthard express train to Göschenen. Here, after only a short waiting time, you change over to the narrow-guage Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn for the 10-minute journey to Andermatt.
