Easy / intermediate tour offering fine views of the Rigi and various lakes. The route is dotted with restaurants, attractions and inviting bathing spots.

From Brunnen, the route first visits Gersau, where the mild southern-like climate favours palms and sweet chestnut trees. Passing through Vitznau, Weggis and Greppen, it snakes its way around orchards to reach Küssnacht am Rigi, a place steeped in history. Here, make a point of visiting the Hohle Gasse, the “hollow way” where folk hero William Tell is said to have killed Bailiff Gessler. The next stretch brings you to Immensee, followed by Arth and Goldau on a cycle path. Why not visit the Natur- und Tierpark Goldau, a scientifically managed zoo situated in the area that was devastated by the Goldau landslide of 1806? Sparkling in the distance is Lake Lauerz, while the Rigi, “Queen of the Mountains”, looks majestically down on her subjects. From Seewen, the route now follows the lower course of the Muota until you return to where you started, Brunnen.
