Once again this year, the grounds around the Grünenwald Inn will be transformed into a festival site at Whitsun. The already legendary green canopy as well as the bar and the campsite create a pleasant open-air feeling. Artists from Switzerland and abroad will once again be performing on the large stage outside and in the former pub.
As usual, you can enjoy risotto, magrones and delicious grilled dishes or combine them with the delicious menus from the kitchen. In the evening, night owls can fortify themselves with sweet and savory treats from the in-house oven. You can also enjoy a Central Swiss beer, a warming Kafi Zwätschge or a delicious espresso with grappa. Or simply enjoy a drink.
Visitors are transported from Engelberg to Grünenwald by shuttle bus, where they can also pitch their tents. Return transport to Engelberg railroad station is also organized. Hiking enthusiasts take the path (approx. 45 minutes) into the Grünenwald forest. In the late evening, the ZB train replacement bus stops in front of the house (23.30 and 00.18). To use this bus, you need a valid train ticket. Tickets cannot be purchased on the bus.
If you are traveling with a tent, you can buy a 2-day pass for CHF 55.00 (1-day pass: CHF 35.00), which also includes admission to the campground. There is no advance sale or reservation of tickets.
Parking lots and motorhomes have very little space around the house for cars and motorhomes. Dr Schneller isch dr Gleitiger. Cars may not be parked on the meadow of the campsite.
On both evenings, DJs extend the party night into the early hours of the morning. The open air area will open its doors on Saturday at 4.00 p.m. (program start: 5.00 p.m. earlier than before, we will make up some time) and on Sunday at 1.30 p.m. (program start: 3.15 p.m.). Now you can have a leisurely breakfast on Sunday morning to recharge your batteries for the second day.
