Malerei

With the exhibition "Malerei", the akku Kunstplattform presents a concise essence of contemporary painting, focusing on an international perspective rarely seen in Switzerland. The show brings together artists from Switzerland, Great Britain, Honkong, South Korea and the USA and brings together different artistic positions in order to visualize the diversity of painterly forms of expression.

The language of the medium itself is central: The works stand for themselves, without the need for prior historical or cultural knowledge. The exhibition follows its own inner logic, which offers space for intuitive interpretation and enables direct, personal engagement.

With works by Davina Andrea Deplazes, Elisabeth Fux Mattig, Eva Maspoli, Félix Antoine Bürcher, Ian Douglass, Klodin Erb, Lau Yee Vanessa Fong, Laura Luterbach, Seohyun Oh and Soo Hyun Lee. Curated by Caspar Danuser.
