Marlène Pichler: «Der Stand der Dinge»

In a creative and free approach to the medium of painting, Marlène Pichler mixes different techniques on printed aluminium panels to create unique works that expand the field of painting both technically and in terms of content. The works in this exhibition revolve around nostalgia - a time that only supposedly took place as we remember it. Her paintings oscillate between references to the visual pop culture of the 2000s and the decay that follows the closer observation of an idealised, nostalgic memory.

With the exhibition series «Der Stand der Dinge», the akku Kunstplattform presents the current work of up-and-coming artists in solo exhibitions.
