There is a wealth of art and culture in Engelberg, characterized by a wide range of professional, semi-professional and amateur artists. Only a few are aware of this diversity, both locals and outsiders alike. This is why Florence Anliker (Engelberg Valley Museum) and Birgit Miller (Engelberg Monastery) have made it their mission to showcase the creative potential of the place.
On Saturday, September 13, 2025, Engelberg's artists, cultural workers and institutions will open their studio doors for the first time on the “KulTÜR Open Day”. They will provide an insight into the diverse forms of art and culture that are lived and cultivated in the village. Discover the wealth of cultural activities that Engelberg has to offer, from painting, sculpture, photography, pottery and readings to goldsmithing, on the “KulTÜR Open Day” from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm. Details of artists and venues will be published in due course. Various food and drink stations in the village will provide refreshments on the day.
