Mulled wine recipe from Betty Bossi

Preparation time: about 15 minutes / recipe for 4 persons

Ingredients

  • 1 l full-bodied red wine, e.g. Valtellina
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 1 large organic orange, sliced and quartered
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions
Bring all the ingredients to the boil in a pan, stirring occasionally. Remove the pan from the heat, cover and allow to stand for approx. 10 minutes, then heat it up again, remove the cinnamon sticks and cloves and serve in preheated glasses.

Tip
Alcohol-free mulled «wine»: use red grape juice instead of wine and omit the sugar.
