Inseli-Park

The Inseli Park's central location, just behind the railway station and the KKL, makes it the ideal meeting place. As soon as the temperatures rise again, locals come here to drink coffee with friends, have lunch with work colleagues or toast together at the end of the day. When the weather is nice, the Buvette at Inseli and the Voliére provide visitors with healthy snacks and refreshing drinks. Those who still want to get rid of some energy can do so at the playground near the Inseli. Directly on Lake Lucerne, the park offers a magnificent view of the city, lake and mountains.

Vögeligärtli

Here the name says it all - at least it did until a few decades ago. For the name "Vögeligärtli" comes from the former aviary that filled the green space with birdsong. Today, the park has become a meeting place for all generations. If you stroll past the Vögeligärtli, you will find children doing gymnastics on the playground, families chatting, students reading on the picnic lawn or a cross-generational chess tournament. The park is right next to the station.

Dreilindenpark

Dreilinden Park, probably better known as «Konsipark», is not only the largest public park in the city of Lucerne with a breathtaking view, but also a place of culture. If you dare to take a journey into the past, Dreilinden Park is the place to be. Walk through the historic entrance gate, along the avenue and visitors to the park are rewarded with a view over the Lucerne lake basin and the mighty mountain peaks of Central Switzerland. In addition to the castle-like Villa Vicovaro, there is also an agricultural building, a gatehouse, an artificial gateway ruin, marble sculptures and even a grotto in the park. The property has belonged to the city of Lucerne since 1929.

Bleichergärtli

The Bleichergärtli is located in Lucerne's Neustadt. In the heart of the residential quarter, this little oasis stands out. The newly designed playground offers plenty of space to climb, do gymnastics and romp around. Next to it, cafés and restaurants invite you to take a break. Shopping facilities are within walking distance and there is a public toilet facility right next to the playground.

Nature recreation area Allmend

If you prefer quiet and want to relax from everyday life, the Allmend nature recreation area is the right place for you. The Allmend nature recreation area is considered one of the most valuable natural areas in the city, which is not far from the city centre. Dry and wet meadows, streams, ponds and hedges await visitors. Due to the diverse habitats, it is a popular home for rare insects, reptiles and smaller mammals. The area can be discovered on walking and stalking trails. The many experience stations between the ponds and meadows offer exciting insights into nature.

Deer Park Lucerne

The Hirsch Park Lucerne looks back on a centuries-old history. In the 17th and 18th centuries, state envoys and merchants brought wild animals as gifts on their visits. Today, the deer park is still home to around two dozen red deer. The Hirschpark Luzern is a tranquil place of recreation in the middle of the city and is open to the public. The park is looked after around the clock by a team of experts who are happy to pass on information to visitors. In the park, people find balance in their everyday lives, children experience biodiversity at first hand and can observe wild animals.
