The hike from Attinghausen over the Surenen Pass to Engelberg follows one of the most impressive trails in Central Switzerland. Enjoy wonderful views of Lake Uri and the Reuss valley on an approx. six-hour hike.
Take a break in one of the many places offering food and drink along the way. During the summer, Alpine herdsmen and women offer freshly made Alpine products as well as cooling drinks and snacks in their Alpine eateries. Enjoy the fresh mountain air and discover the unique Alpine flora. With a little luck you might catch sight of wild animals such as chamois, marmots or ibex.
From the upper terminus of Brüsti, the well-marked trail passes an inn (the Z'graggen) via the Nossenboden barbecue spot up to the Gratgädemli. The section over the Nussfruttli is dotted with some fine Alpine flora. The Angistock is a popular place for catching your breath before the steep climb to the Surenen Pass.
