The bus from Lucerne railway station to Kriens takes twelve minutes. The adventure starts in Kriens with the panoramic gondola cableway over the roofs of Kriens and its surrounding natural recreational area.
The panoramic gondola cars also stop at Krienseregg on their way from Kriens to Fräkmüntegg. This is the location of the PILU Land adventure playground, which is sure to keep children amused. After climbing 899 metres and travelling 18 minutes, you arrive at Fräkmüntegg.
The paradise for visitors with a sense of adventure, boasting Central Switzerland’s largest rope park, a toboggan run, footpaths and the thrills and spills of sledging in winter. Anyone wanting even more cableway adventure should hop aboard the state-of-the-art «Dragon Ride» aerial cableway at Fräkmüntegg and glide up to Pilatus Kulm. After a hearty lunch and a walk along various footpaths, take the world’s steepest cogwheel railway from Pilatus Kulm back down to Alpnachstad. The return leg to Lucerne can be by train or boat.
