November finds masterful pianists of all ages gathering for the Lucerne Festival at the Piano. They display their skills in the concert hall of the KKL Luzern, while a fringe jazz festival descends on the city’s bars and restaurants.

The Piano Festival proper focuses on keyboard-based talent featuring legendary masters and upcoming talent performing recitals and concerts to the delight of KKL Luzern audiences.

Piano Off-Stage

Piano Off-Stage represents the fringe of the Piano Festival. It consists of some 40 gigs featuring jazz musicians with an international profile. The ensembles play in a different venue every evening, allowing every artist to appear in each of them. It means that audiences and diners not only hear all manner of jazz, but also experience some of Lucerne’s best bars and restaurants.

Lucerne Festival trio

The Festival at the Piano launched in 1998 as the youngest of the three Lucerne Festivals, which also include the Lucerne Festival in Summer and the Lucerne Festival at Easter.
