 At the entrance to Lake Uri stands a striking 20 metre high boulder close to the shore. Originally known as Mythenstein, it was renamed Schillerstein and inscribed as a monument in 1859 to mark the 100th birthday of Friedrich Schiller, the poet and creator of Switzerland's founding drama "William Tell".
