The Gassmann family from Neuhof in Sempach operates a vineyard of approximately 1.7 hectares in a prime location below the hamlet of Kirchbühl.

The vineyard was planted in 2021 with the varieties Pinot Noir, Merlot, Souvignier Gris, Blütmuskateller, and Donauriesling. The first grapes were harvested just one year later.

The wines are marketed by the newly founded Weinbau Sempachersee GmbH, based in Sursee.
