The Seetal is dominated by Lakes Hallwil and Baldegg. The hills of the Seetal offer tremendous panoramic views of the Central Swiss Alps complete with Mounts Rigi, Pilatus and Titlis. Well-maintained hiking trails and cycling routes in the valley link the two lakes, as well as three castles: Heidegg, Hallwyl and Lenzburg. Many of the lakeside villages have lidos and restaurants featuring fish specialities. Passenger boats convey visitors across Lake Hallwil, while the Seetal railway connects Lucerne with Lenzburg.
