Hiking around Lake Rot

Lake Rot is a recreational area on the outskirts of Lucerne. There is lots to discover along the approximately seven-kilometre trail around the lake. Children love the playground near the rowing centre, for example, or you can take a ride on the Lake Rot ferry, stopping off for an ice cream at the lido kiosk or Restaurant Seehüsli.

Lucerne lake promenade

The walk from the station alongside the lake to Hotel Seeburg takes 50 minutes. This urban walk leads past the landing stages, over the Seebrücke bridge along the water's edge. Kids can look forward to a great playground at Carl-Spitteler-Quai. Finish off by taking the scheduled boat back to the city of Lucerne.
