The monastery village Maria-Rickenbach (Niederrickenbach) can be reached from Dallenwil (Niederrickenbach valley station) by cable car. Many guests visit the "Pilgerhaus" near the mountain station to discover the secret of the "Alpöhi" dessert. In half an hour you reach the valley station of the very special chairlift to Haldigrat. Directions

Niederrickenbach – Alpboden – Haldigrat – Brisenhaus – Musenalp (– Niederrickenbach)

From the mountain station Niederrickenbach, you reach the chairlift to Haldigrat in half an hour. After a break at the mountain restaurant, two paths are available to the Brisenhaus (SAC Pilatus): 150 m ascent and via the Peterslücke and around the Zwelfer to the SAC hut; or first descent to the north and then horizontally to the hut. Then it goes on mountain trails via the Bärenfallen to the opposite Musenalp. After a snack, the cable cars take everyone back to the valley.

"Alpöhi" dessert at the  and then to finish the «» on the . Unlike the Swiss classic, in this cheese slice grated cheese is melted in the frying pan and spread over a slice of Ruchbrot.
