The Dammahütte is situated at 2439 m above sea level. M. and is one of the smallest serviced SAC huts. The hut is ideal for day trips, families as well as climbers and tourers. Early risers can experience an unforgettable sunrise in front of the hut. Go
The "Southern" route is the shorter route in terms of time and distance and starts at the parking lot. It runs south of the Göscheneralpsee lake, along the slopes and meadows of Älpergen and Höhenberg. Early risers can enjoy the morning shade on the first half of the trail, from the dam to the Dammareuss bridge. Here you can treat yourself to a well-deserved rest, as you have now covered more than half of the hike. The southern and northern routes meet at the bridge. From this junction, the direct route initially leads somewhat steeper over stone steps and boulder fields to the Dammastäfeli and up to the Dammahütte.

You reach the Göscheneralptal via Göschenen. Göschenen is located directly at the highway exit of the A2.
There are parking spaces directly at the Göscheneralp reservoir.
The bus takes you to the Göscheneralp Valley, where the two huts are located. The timetable is as follows: Postbus timetable

Hikers should keep an eye on the weather forecast in advance, as parts of the hike are at over 2000 m above sea level and light snowfall can therefore occur in extreme cases.
