This route offers both cycling and scenic pleasure. On the Herzroute, you glide over the cretaceous layers of the Emmental to finally reach Huttwil and Hüswil in Lucerne. From there, the «Herzschlaufe Napf» leads back to Sumiswald, including some of the most beautiful sections to be found in Veloland Schweiz. A mighty tour with great potential for enjoyment.

Directions
The route begins at Sumiswald-Grünen railway station where we pick up Route No. 94 for 2.4 km to Gammenthal and then take the signposted turn-off to Route No. 99. A short climb (1.5 km) takes us up to a panoramic location from where we follow the «Herzroute» (No. 99) for approx. 35 km to Hüswil in Canton Lucerne. There we find our reference to Route No. 399, which is reached after 1.8 km. This route, known as the «Herzschlaufe Napf», takes us through a wonderful hilly landscape back to Sumiswald.
