Directions

The starting point is the **municipal car park in Stans**. From here you ride into the village center, past the church and Winkelried monument, continuing to the Capuchin monasteries and the "Kollegi".

Following the route, you reach **Oberdorf** where you encounter the Engelbergeraa. Now begins the first ascent over the **Ennerberg** up to the **Loretto Chapel**. After a short descent, it goes along the A2 motorway eastwards and slightly uphill to the Bisibiel viewpoint with a view over Lake Lucerne, Rigi, and Mythen.

Followed by a descent into the village of **Beckenried**, where a break directly by the lake is recommended. Then the route leads along Buochsertstrasse to the artificially created "New Zealand" – a popular bathing spot in summer.

From here, you continue rolling into the village **Buochs** with its lakeside promenade and the beach bath. Along the dam path along the Engelbergeraa, you reach the historic Fadenbrücke (1852). After crossing, you ride over the Allmend and past the Pilatus aircraft factories to the Herdern shooting range.

Then it goes back to **Stans** via low-traffic paths through **Gnappiried** and Schwybogen, where you arrive again at the starting point at the **municipal car park**.
