We hike far away from the tourist streams. We watch the steam railway, encounter cattle and goats, and have the opportunity to roast a sausage and play.

We hike from Realp station through the village towards the steam railway. We pass the golf course on the left and the Furka steam railway station on the right. Before we reach the tracks, we ascend to the right towards Fuchsegg. We climb about 350 meters above the Schärflä and reach the highest point. Now we go into the Furkareuss valley to Chalt Herbrig. **Getting there**You reach Realp if you drive from Göschenen towards Andermatt, bypass Andermatt, and turn right at Hospental towards the Furka Pass.

**Parking**Parking spaces are scarce in Realp because parking is prohibited throughout the village.

**Public transportation**You can change trains in Göschenen to the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn towards Andermatt. In ten minutes you will be in Andermatt. From there you take the train towards Brig. After a few minutes you arrive in Realp. Attention: stop on request!
