Our unique moorland is traversed in winter by a beautifully designed cross-country skiing trail. The 15 km loop is of medium difficulty, with a steep ascent after 2.5 km, a longer descent after 8 km, and another short, steeper descent after 8.5 km. The trail is groomed for both classic and skating techniques.

From highway A4, exit Schwyz via Schwyz/Sattel or from highway A3, exit Samstagern via Biberbrugg to Rothenthurm

Direct connections with the Voralpen-Express from St. Gallen/Rapperswil and Luzern/Küssnacht. From Luzern, Rothenthurm is reachable, for example, in 50 minutes with the Voralpen-Express. Access from the train station and bus stop is via the underpass!

Alternatively, a direct bus runs from Schwyz to the Rothenthurm train station bus stop.
