Once at the top, you are rewarded with a comprehensive view. After a break, the same path back to the Gotthard pass is taken underfoot. Alternatively, the hike can be extended to the Gemsstock mountain station (the cable car is not in operation during summer) and from there descend into the Unteralptal or take the same way back. The path down from Glockentürmli to Gafallenlück is somewhat rocky but worthwhile. At the bottom, there is even a small lake. Over rocky ledges secured with cables, hikers then descend from the Gafallenlück until it goes back up to Gemsstock."

Safety guidelines

Hikers should keep an eye on the weather forecast in advance because the hike is above 2000 m.a.s.l. and therefore, in extreme cases, light snowfall may occur. Also, you need to be sure-footed for the hike, as it leads over rocky paths.
