The high valley Melchsee-Frutt offers varied ski areas: the slopes of Balmeregghorn and Erzegg with wide and sunny pistes. Opposite are the steeper descents around Bonistock. The ride starts by gondola or lift usually in the Distelboden area, reachable in a few minutes from the mountain station.

Between the Erzegg chairlift and the Distelboden restaurant is also the start of the Melchsee trail.
