From the Riviera village of Gersau, you will march directly through a varied landscape to Rigi Scheidegg.

This challenging ascent is the most direct route from the Gersau village to the Rigi-Scheidegg vista plateau. Until 1873, Rigi guests were carried to the Rigi in carrying chairs or on horseback. Today, your energy level will be tested. On the road you will reach the Nielen bridge via Eggi. A steep mountain hiking trail then leads to Brand.
