This circular route is especially popular with beginners and recreational snowshoers. You get to know the sunny side, that is, the southern part of Muotathal, and can make a detour to a place of power.

You start in the old and most beautiful part of Muotathal: in the «Wil» near the schoolhouse. Passing the parish church and ossuary, the path gently climbs, always with a view of the impressive rock face shaping the valley to the north: the Chileflue.

Open terrain, smaller forest sections, and farmhouses characterize the hike. At the highest point of the route, there is also a farmhouse – with a self-service broom pub. With the best view of the down-to-earth and elongated village of Muotathal and the Muota River, this is the ideal place to embrace tranquility.
