description: "From Realp train station, you hike on the right valley side along the roller-ski trail and later the hiking trail to the smallest village in Switzerland, Zumdorf. The restaurant Zum Dörfli - Naturstubä is perfect for a refreshment before you change the valley side and walk past the gravel works. You then take the path back to Realp. The path to Realp runs along the Furkareuss and during the hike you will discover the unique floodplain landscape with diverse birdlife, and if lucky, you may even spot marmots. A small detour from the path to the Reuss river is worth it for a short break. Passing lush meadows and surrounded by impressive mountain ranges, you reach the other side of the small village of around 150 inhabitants. From the large parking lot at the village entrance, you return to the train station where the route started."
