Let yourself be enchanted by the magic of nature while snowshoeing on the RiedalpTrail, away from the hustle and bustle and everyday stress. The view of the local mountain Hahnen is breathtaking.

The free sports bus takes you from Engelberg railway station to the Brunnital station, where you take the gondola up to Ristis. Here at the mountain station begins the 2.9 km long Riedalp snowshoe trail heading east. It starts on the winter hiking trail "Schneetandliweg" along the edge of the forest to the Ried. At this viewpoint, the view of the Hahnen is breathtaking. From there, it goes uphill first over an open field and then along the forest. Snowshoe rental at Brunni: Snowshoes can be rented at the Yeti Park on Ristis for CHF 15.00 per day (the number of snowshoes is limited; reservation is recommended for larger groups!).

**Getting there**

By car, take the A2 (Basel-Gotthard) to Stans Süd, then drive 20 km on the main road to Engelberg. Engelberg is 30 minutes from Lucerne, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Basel, Zurich, or Bern.

National and international connections (from Zurich Airport there are connections every half hour with about 1 hour travel time) to Lucerne. Afterwards, take the Zentralbahn for 43 minutes through varied landscapes and gorges up to Engelberg.
