From the train station, the tour takes you to Flüeli-Ranft, the workplace of the holy Brother Klaus. Then it continues along the right side of the Melchaa river into the Melchtal and up to Melchsee-Frutt.

The route starts in the valley at around 470 m above sea level and winds steadily uphill to the Frutt at 1,920 m above sea level. On the way, you pass through idyllic villages, green alpine meadows, and follow the course of the Melchaa through the wild romantic Melchtal.
