This guided hike on Pilatus offers impressive views as well as interesting insights into the flora and fauna of the Alps and concludes with a traditional Swiss barbecue experience.

The route starts in Lucerne, from where the group takes a bus to the base station of Pilatus. Then you go up to the summit with the aerial cableway, where a panoramic view of the surrounding mountain landscape and Lake Lucerne opens up.

Once at the top, an easy hike leads to Tomlishorn, the highest point of Pilatus at 2,132 meters above sea level. With some luck, ibexes can be spotted along the way. Directions

The circular route from Pilatus Kulm to Tomlishorn and back takes about two hours. Along the way, approximately 120 meters of ascent are covered and it is rated as an easy T2 hike.
