Directions

From the boat dock, we walk along the lake toward Hertenstein, past the marina and the sculpture of the dancer. In Unterdorf, we turn right at the fork onto Kreuzstrasse and then immediately left at the next street. We follow Friedheimweg until, after passing the Hotel Friedheim, we reach the hilltop near the Hügeri farm. We turn left; the road climbs gently to the stately Brünnihof estate. The path leads across the meadow through the small grove to the Eggisbühl farm. We walk around the barn, and the little road leads to the edge of the Herrenwald. Before the picnic area, we turn left into the forest and follow the path as it curves sharply to the right. We continue through the forest until we reach the gravel pit and the Röhrli picnic area. We continue straight ahead, and after a short stretch through the woods, the trail climbs up to the Haldihof. At the Haldihof, you can grab a bite to eat and enjoy the magnificent view. We continue walking until we reach the main road, follow it for a short stretch to the bus stop, cross the street, and follow the path through the fruit trees toward Greppen. After about 800 meters, we reach the first houses of the village. We follow Gütschstrasse, turn left, and—after crossing the main road—reach the historic village center of Greppen. From Greppen, you can take the bus back to Weggis or take the Rigi Chestene Trail on foot.
