People of all ages follow the Moorbäer (Moorland Bear) trail and its 20 info-posts to learn about the flora and fauna of the moor.

The largest expanse of moorland in Switzerland is to be found above Sarnen in the Glaubenberg-Langis area. The best views of the high moor are to be had from the Bäerenturm tower that protrudes from the middle of the spruce canopy. This offers views of the unique sea of flowers as well as countless plant and animal species.

A touch of wellness is available at the Schwendi Kaltbad, where you wade ankle-deep through a peat-filled basin. You then wash your feet in the little stream next to it. A unique experience.

A little brochure and further information can be found here.
