Château Gütsch

The Château Gütsch is enthroned as a vantage point high above the roofs of the city of Lucerne. From up here you can enjoy a spectacular view of the city, the lake and the mountains. The view can be enjoyed even better in the restaurant or hotel. The château is easily reached by the Gütsch cable car or on foot. A walk through the Gütschwald forest is an ideal way to combine the vantage point with the Sonnenberg.

Sonnenberg

Lucerne's small local mountain has a lot to offer. Wine is grown here, people dance at music festivals, local organic delicacies are produced and much more. The Sonnenberg is a local recreation area for nature and city residents. The vantage point can be reached by the nostalgic funicular railway from Kriens or on one of the numerous hiking trails. From here, Lucerne can be viewed from all sides.

Dreilinden

Dreilinden Park is not only home to the former Lucerne Music School, but also to the bench with probably the most beautiful view. Although music is no longer played here, if you listen carefully, you can indulge in the melody of nature and the chirping of birds and let your eyes wander over Mount Pilatus, Mount Rigi and Lake Lucerne.

Musegg Wall

The Musegg Wall with its nine towers was considered the guardian of the city. The historical landmark is open to the public from April to October. Just below the "Zytturm", a heavenly view of the city awaits the visitor. If you want to go even higher, climb the "Männlitrum" - it's worth it.

Flying high?

Wonderful views in the mountains of the Lucerne-Lake Lucerne Region. Within just 30 minutes by public transport from the city, you can reach three mountains with stunning views and plenty of adventure.
