The Jazzkantine in the heart of Lucerne’s old town is a restaurant, café and concert venue in one. Hosting all manner of acts, the Jazzkantine is especially well known for its barnstorming jam sessions. On one Tuesday each month, anyone can bring their own instrument to join in.
Louis Bar at the Montana
The Louis Bar at the Hotel Montana is well known in the city as a meeting place for fans of jazz and blues. There is live music almost every day, plus the legendary jam sessions every Thursday. A whole series of music-makers, from mainstream to bebop, have kept spirits high for more than 20 years now – and jamming along is encouraged.
