Freed feet not only invigorate the senses, they are also good for your health. Walking barefoot allows for fatigue-free walking, even on uphill mountain paths.
The path is complemented by 10 stations which make the walk a varied experience: 1. Barefoot bridge, 2. Pack path, 3. Balancing act, 4. “Let’s call it wellness”, 5. Nagelfluh via ferrata, 6. Tattoo, 7. On the wrong track, 8. Against the current, 9. Rich in stones and 10. Sea view.

- Getting there
By car, take the A2 (Basel-Lucerne-Gotthard) to Stans-South. From there, follow the main road for 20 km to Engelberg. Engelberg is about 30 minutes from Lucerne. From Zurich expect a travel time of 1 hour 15 minutes, from Bern and Basel about 1 hour 45 minutes.
ParkingA large parking lot is available at Brunni-Bahnen Engelberg AG. Parking costs CHF 5.00 per day.Public transportationThe Zentralbahn runs directly from Lucerne to Engelberg. The travel time is 45 minutes and passes through beautiful landscapes. Departures are hourly. In Engelberg, a free bus runs in summer and winter that takes you directly to the Brunni valley station in 5 minutes. Author

The barefoot hiking trail is a real hiking path. Always carry your shoes for safety and pay attention to the ground. Thorns, insects, roots or sharp stones can cause injuries.
