According to the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), 1,412,735 hotel stays were recorded in the city of Lucerne last year, an increase of 6.4% on the figure for 2024. The Lucerne-Lake Lucerne Region as a whole - the cantons of Lucerne, Schwyz, Uri, Obwalden and Nidwalden - recorded 4’202’624Logiernächte. This is 3.1% more than in the previous year and exceeds the average of +2.6% for all Swiss tourism regions. The months of December (+14.2 per cent) and October (+6.1 per cent) in particular recorded more guests in Lucerne than in the previous year.
