Andermatt Theater “Geischtermacher”

This year, the Andermatt Theater Association is staging the play “Geischtermacher.” With its dark humor, whimsical situations, and sharp punchlines, this dialect comedy promises an entertaining evening at the theater.

The story centers on the two eccentric gravedigger brothers, Chräbeli and Schüfeli Sumpfler, who are simply running out of customers in the health-resort town of Andermatt. But a fateful mix-up and two very much alive ghosts throw the Moor Inn into complete disarray.

Eerily delightful pranks, uninvited guests from the afterlife, and surprising twists ensure plenty of confusion and plenty of laughs. With great enthusiasm and a healthy dose of dark humor, the Andermatt Theater Association invites you to an enjoyable theatrical experience.
