Andrew Bond's "The Seasons" – Family Concert

concert
Andrew Bond and the Swiss Youth Symphony Orchestra take children aged 4+ on a musical journey from Vivaldi to beloved Bond sing-along classics.
Andrew Bond is one of Switzerland’s most successful children’s songwriters today. Together with the Swiss Youth Symphony Orchestra, he takes children ages four and up on a journey through the musical seasons. Together, they make snowflakes swirl and summer thunderstorms rumble. The program features music by Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, and others, but especially many of Bond’s songs for the audience to sing along to! True children’s room classics like “Sunnestrahl, tanz emal.”

Andrew Bond has pursued a multifaceted career as a theologian, youth worker, teacher, part-time stay-at-home dad, and children’s songwriter. What began as a family hobby has developed into a remarkable success story, with 750,000 CDs sold, the production of nine fairy-tale musicals, and the awarding of an honorary doctorate. During his guest performance in Lucerne, the musicians of the Swiss Youth Symphony Orchestra will bridge the gap to the young audience. They are all between 15 and 25 years old and are therefore themselves part of “Generation Bond,” having grown up with “Zimetschtern han i gern” and other Bond classics.
