Pen, ink, and a little patience: At the Engelberg Monastery, you will dive into the world of calligraphy.
You will create your first lettering, discover the more than a thousand-year-old tradition of monastic writing, and experience how small works of art emerge from individual letters. Creative, focused, and relaxing at the same time.

Welcome and introduction to the art of calligraphy with insights into the monastic writing tradition and a short monastery tour
9:45 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Working with pen and ink, first writing exercises
12:00 p.m.
Participation in the midday prayer of the monastic community (optional)
12:15 p.m.
Shared lunch in the guest refectory followed by relaxation and farewell
