The fire inspection authority OW/NW has imposed an absolute ban on fires and fireworks in forests and near forested areas.
We ask you to secure your fire pits accordingly.
Due to the extreme heat, the ground and grass are very dried out. To minimize the risk of wildfires, the fire department also recommends securing fire pits that are sufficiently far from a forest.
The ban takes effect tomorrow, July 10, 2026. Violations of this regulation will be punished with a fine according to Art. 292 of the Penal Code.
