A fascinating amphibian species
The Glögglifrog is a rare amphibian species found in Obwalden and Nidwalden. Its "glöggelnd" call is enchanting and captivates just as much as its unique way of life. Unlike other amphibians, male Glögglifrogs incubate the eggs in underground cavities. In her illustrated presentation, Maria Jakober, regional representative of the Amphibian and Reptile Protection Coordination Centre in Switzerland (karch) for Obwalden, will introduce you to this fascinating species and its habitats.
The event will take place in the Sust at Herrenhaus Grafenort, and admission is free (collection). The café bar in the Sust opens at 6:45 PM. Please note: The number of seats is limited - the principle of "first come, first served" applies.
