You can spend the night in a two-man tent at 1938 m above sea level and enjoy a hearty alpine breakfast. The offer can be booked from mid-June to mid-September.
The Laucheren alp lies at around 1900 m above sea level - well protected in a gentle hollow high above the Engelberg Valley. From June to the end of September, Älpler Melk leads his 120 sheep, 2 llamas, around 50 suckler cows with their calves and a bull across the mostly steep but lush mountain slopes. Eight hens and one cockerel also spend the summer on the alp and a dog helps Melk to herd the animals.

Hospitality is very important to the Niederberger family, who have been running the alp for 4 generations. It has recently become possible to bivouac on the Laucheren Alp and spend the night halfway along the ridge hike - tents and sleeping mats are available, but you must bring your own sleeping bag. A delicious evening meal and alpine breakfast are also provided - the unforgettable sunset and sunrise are included free of charge. With the Stanserhorn-Engelberg ridge hike and this stopover, you can expect a little modern adventure, a short break from everyday life and an absolute highlight of this year's mountain summer
